Taking Care of the Feral Cats on Campus
Welcome to USI Campus Cats, where we provide essential care to the feral cats on the University of Southern Indiana campus, including food, veterinary support, and population control through spaying and neutering.
Formed in 2021, we are a group of dedicated volunteers including students, staff, and community members.

What We Do
Feral cats often rely on volunteers for food and shelter, especially in harsh weather. Providing a safe feeding station ensures they have consistent access to food. Shelters help protect them from the elements and provide a safe place to rest. Regular veterinary care, including spaying and neutering, is also essential for their health and helps manage the population over time.
USI Campus Cats volunteers provide food and water daily to the feral cat community living on campus. There are currently 12 cats and four feeding stations. In addition to daily feedings, volunteers provide veterinary care as needed and shelters for year-round use from the weather.
All the cats a part of this community have been spayed or neutered.
How to Help
Become a Volunteer
Please remember that these are feral cats and are not accustomed to close human interaction or petting. While a few may grow more comfortable over time, this is not the norm. Approaching them as if they were domesticated pets can put their safety and well-being at risk.
At USI Campus Cats, our mission is to ensure consistent feeding, monitor their health, and promote their overall welfare.

Other Ways to Help
Amazon Wish List
The increased costs in cat food can be a barrier to someone becoming a volunteer. The wish list is to help us provide food so volunteers do not have to cover the cost themselves.
